Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Don't see yours? Ask us directly — we're happy to help.
Do you offer appointments in Spanish?
Yes — Aurie is fully bilingual (English and Puerto Rican Spanish) and will explain every step of your return in whichever language you are most comfortable with. Sí, hablamos español.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
It depends on your situation, but the essentials are a photo ID, Social Security cards for you and your dependents, all income forms (W-2s, 1099s), last year’s return if we did not prepare it, and your bank info for direct deposit. We have a full printable checklist on our Resources page.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the complexity of your return, and we keep it fair and transparent — many clients specifically mention our reasonable prices in their reviews. There are no surprise fees; you will know the cost before we file. Call or book a free initial consultation and we will give you a clear quote.
Can you do my taxes if I live outside Indianapolis?
Absolutely. We serve clients in all 50 states virtually through secure document upload, video consultation, and electronic signature — so you can work with Aurie from anywhere.
Can I get an advance on my refund?
Yes. Through our partnership with EPS / Pathward (a Member FDIC bank), eligible filers can receive a taxpayer advance loan of up to $7,500 on their expected refund, with $0 up front and no-cost options for many qualifying clients. Approval is subject to underwriting.
I got a letter from the IRS — can you help?
Yes. We handle IRS and state notices, back taxes, payment plans, and penalty relief. Don’t ignore the letter — most issues are easier and cheaper to fix the sooner you act. See our IRS Tax Resolution page to get started.
What if I haven’t filed in a few years?
You are not alone, and it is fixable. We regularly help clients catch up on multiple years of unfiled returns and, when needed, set up a manageable payment plan with the IRS. The first step is simply reaching out.
Do you prepare taxes for small businesses and LLCs?
Yes — Schedule C self-employment filings, partnership returns, LLC formation, quarterly estimated taxes, and ongoing business compliance. We are built for owners who want it done right the first time.
Are you available year-round, or just during tax season?
Year-round. Most preparers disappear after April 15 — Aurie doesn’t. Whether it’s a mid-year IRS letter, a quarterly estimate, or a question about a big life change, we are open 12 months a year.
How do I book an appointment?
The fastest way is to book online through our scheduling system, or call us at (317) 551-1716. We will confirm your appointment and let you know exactly what to bring.
